Sapele wooden doors and windows

Sapele wooden doors and windows

Sapele hardwood originates from the Sapele tree, a large tree native to Africa, from the same family as Mahogany. Sapele is relatively stable and is often used in the manufacture of doors and windows. For more information about KAT wooden doors and windows.

Elegance Richmond in house1When KAT hand-craft bespoke doors using Engineered Sapele  we are often asked to enhance its natural dark reddish-brown colour, by applying 3 coats of a Teknos Microporous Natural finish. This will offer protection from the elements whilst allowing some of the natural grain to show through. Alternatively a smooth paint finish can be achieved and we can closely colour match Farrow & Ball and Fired Earth shades. Contact us
