KAT Welcomes Peter Blair, Mike Sawyer and Julie Wales
Surging growth in demand from customers, coupled with a major product development drive has led to the creation of 3 new KAT management roles.
Mike Sawyer – KAT Joinery
KAT are possibly the only UK based manufacturer to supply high specification doors, windows and lantern roofs in all three materials; Aluminium, PVCu and Timber.
Peter Blair – KAT Ireland
Peter Blair joins the sales team to represent KAT in Ireland. Peter is hugely respected in the industry and brings a wealth of experience, much of it gained on the board of Network Veka. Peter comments:

Mike Sawyer – Customer Service Manager, KAT Joinery
Mike Sawyer joins as Customer Service Manager at KAT Joinery. Mike has spent over 30 years running timber factories for specialist joinery manufacturers. KAT are planning to utilise Mike’s skills to further develop the Timber door range including residential, French, and bifolds. Mike said:
“KAT Timber is currently the smallest division at KAT but I can see the opportunity it presents as our retail customers move up market. I know we will be successful by offering KAT customers innovative timber solutions using Accoya, which has a 50 year guarantee.”
Julie Wales – Operations Manager
Julie Wales joins as Operations Manager responsible for all four manufacturing operations. Julie has been a senior production manager for over 25 years in the building products sector. Julie stated:
“I have been recruited specifically to improve management systems and manufacturing procedures at KAT and to lead the manufacturing team towards our goal of being a world class business.”
