Properties within 5 miles of the sea are classed as a marine environment. The air in these areas have a much higher chemical rate than normal. It’s surprising how powerful the chemicals and deposits from the sea can be.
Aluminium is the best frame material to use within the marine environment but unfortunately it is still effected. KAT’s Sliding Doors are available in a black anodised finish that helps protect your aluminium frame from the marine chemicals.
What is an anodised paint finish?
Anodising refers to the electro-chemical process that converts an aluminium surface into an anodic oxide finish. The benefits include the fact it doesn’t rust and paint adheres to it very easily. All KAT’s aluminium bifold doors, sliding patio doors and windows are available in a black anodised finish, they look stunning and just add that touch of quality to your windows and doors.
