What are Flush Casement Windows?

Casement windows usually open outwards and are hinged either at the side of the window or at the top. They can also be fixed, allowing in plenty of natural light whilst not having an opening facility. When looking at a casement window from outside, you will usually see a ‘lip’ of uPVC around the opening sashes.

‘Flush’ Casement Windows are more contemporary, offering an attractive flush finish externally, similar to that of traditional timber windows. The image below shows how Kraftmsan Flush Casement Windows look from the outside. You will see a lovely flush finish externally.

What Colour are Flush Casement Windows available in?

Knightsbridge flush casement windows are available in a choice of seven contemporary colours, with a woodgrain effect, to replicate traditional timber windows. Whatever colour you choose outside, the inside of the windows will be white, with either a woodgrain or a smooth white finish.

The external colours available are, White, Cream, Agate Grey, French (Pebble) Grey or Anthracite Grey  Contact us for more information.

Thermal Performance of Flush Casement Windows

Kraftsman Flush Casement Windows have excellent thermal properties to keep your home warm and achieve a U-Value of 1.4 W/m2k.

Material and Maintenance of uPVC Flush Casement Windows

uPVC is resistant to weathering and corrosion, making it the ideal material choice for your windows. Kraftsman windows are ideally suited to modern day living, with a contemporary appearance and they require very little maintenance once fitted. All that is needed is to clean the window surfaces and inner chambers with warm soapy water, then ensure they are rinsed and dried after cleaning. Cleaning your windows every 12 months is usually sufficient, depending on where your home is located and whether it is near the sea, in which case it will need cleaning more regularly. Please refer to our full maintenance guidelines.
