Special Features

High performance uPVC vertical sliding sash windows bespoke designed to suit any application.

Outerframe Depth

Our Universal uPVC Sash Windows are available in one front to back frame depth of 128mm. The frame is ovolo moulded on external face and is flat internally. The integral cill is 150mm as standard with a 10mm projection but also available is a 210mm cill for when a greater projection of 60mm is required, both cills have a small ovolo featured up-stand detail on the inside of the frame.

Colours and Finishes

Standard

The Universal sash window is available in plain white uPVC (standard) as well as our popular white and cream woodgrain effect foils, oak and rosewood are also available as fully foiled or foil on white. All standard colours are available on our normal 10 day lead time.

Special Order

We can also supply our Universal sash window in any Renolit foiled finish you require (some finishes will be subject to either Minimum Order Quantities or a small surcharge) or painted in any RAL colour, special finishes take 20-30 days but the choice is almost unlimited!

Hardware

Universal sash windows are fitted with two locking cam catches (non locking available on request) to all windows over 800mm wide, they are fitted with a single pole ring to the top sash and two sash lifts to the bottom sash as standard. Suited hardware is available in white (standard), gold, bright chrome, brushed chrome and black.

Deep Bottom Rail

On our Universal range the bottom sash base rail is 90mm in height – the glass sight-line is 130mm.

Georgian Bar

Universal VS authentic Georgian bars are ovolo featured with a gasket detail and come in a choice of either 22mm (Standard) or 30mm widths (please note 30mm wide bar is not available in all finishes).

Glazed in sculptured Georgian bars are also available in either 18mm or 25mm widths, these are inside the glass unit only.

Please specify if you would prefer the ‘SLIM’ or ‘WIDE’ bars.

Coupled Windows

A 2mm uPVC ‘H’ section trim is used for fixing multiple frames together, they also require direct screw fixing to each other for strength. Due to the cill detail coupled Universal sash windows are supplied on a continuous integral cill, larger windows and combinations will have sashes supplied separately.

Frame Extension

A small (20mm tall x 70mm deep) or large (50mm tall x 70mm deep) add-on is available if required, an odd leg adaptor (10mm tall x 19mm deep) is also available. Specify which add-on and required size/quantity (depth of add-on is only 70mm so 2 no. required to build up front and back) also position on frame – overall sizes should include add-ons and cills, etc…

Bay Assembly

A non-structural variable angle bay pole is available for bays between 120° and 150° – a 90° fixed bay pole is also available – supplied with trims to match your windows. Welded cills can be cut and welded to any angle as required, we can also cut and weld the integral cill if required – frames supplied separately for assembly on site.

Decorative Horns

Aesthetic optional extras available to mimic authentic timber sash window features now available as ‘plant on’ or ‘run through’ in our Universal range.

Trickle vent

Option through top sash or 50mm add-on.
